Ho Chi Minh City’s 4th Tourism Week – “Vibrant Festive Season”
On the morning of December 5th, 2024, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism officially opened the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Week 2024 with the theme “Vibrant Festive Season”. The event aimed to connect tourism, culture, and sports, reinforcing the city’s image as an attractive, modern, and culturally rich destination.
The 4th Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Week will feature a diverse array of cultural, artistic, sporting, culinary events, and new tour introductions across the city. Information booths showcasing the unique tourism, culture, music, and art of Thu Duc City and other districts will be set up.
Kicking off the series of activities of the Tourism Week is the opening ceremony at Ben Thanh Market, one of the iconic destinations of Ho Chi Minh City, which was recently recognized as a city-level heritage, attracting both domestic and foreign tourists with its unique architecture, vibrant trading culture and diverse cuisine.
Locals and tourists also can explore the culture, tourism, history, and geography of each district and Thu Duc City, in a fun and interactive way through augmented reality (AR) quizzes.
As part of the event, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism announced the launch of the “Designing Tourism Programs to Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification” program. This program aims to create a creative playground for businesses, organizations, and individuals, contributing to improving the quality of tourism services and promoting the image of Vietnam and its people.
