Du Gia Waterfall, Ha Giang – A New Favorite Destination for Western Tourists
Foreign tourists, mainly from Europe, have been flocking to Du Gia Waterfall in Ha Giang Province, where they can leap from high rocks into a natural pool below.
Du Gia Waterfall is an emerging tourist destination in Ha Giang Province, particularly popular among European travelers seeking unique and adventurous experiences. Nestled amidst the breathtaking landscapes of the northernmost region of Vietnam, this waterfall offers a stunning natural spectacle.
According to Nguyen Thuat, a local tour guide, Du Gia Waterfall has seen a surge in foreign visitors since early October. He estimates that he has personally guided 200 to 300 tourists to the waterfall.
The increasing number of foreign tourists visiting Du Gia Waterfall has had a positive impact on the local economy. The influx of visitors mostly from Europe has generated income for local businesses, such as homestays, restaurants, and souvenir shops, helping to revitalize the community, which had been severely impacted by Typhoon Yagi in September.
The dry season, from November to April, is the ideal time to visit Du Gia Waterfall. The weather is pleasant, and the water levels are perfect for swimming and cliff jumping.
