Schedule

Day 1

PHNOM PENH ARRIVAL

Our car and tour guide will pick you up at Phnom Penh International Airport, then transfer to the hotel for check-in and rest.

In the afternoon, the group start visiting:

  • Independence Monument, a symbol of Cambodia’s independence from France in 1953.
  • New Market, a large art deco building that sells everything from souvenirs to food.
  • King Sihanouk Statue, a tribute to the former king who led the country to independence.
  • Four Faces River Square, a scenic spot where four rivers converge.

Free to explore the city at night.

Overnight in Phnom Penh.

Day 2

PHNOM PENH - SIEM REAP

Have breakfast and check out the hotel. Then, start visiting: 

  • The Royal Palace was built in 1866 by King Norodom. See the different structures of this pagoda-style compound and stroll in its beautiful garden. Visit the Silver Pagoda so named because of its floor that comprises 5,000 silver tiles. 
  • A Gold Buddha encrusted with 9,584 diamonds and a small 17th century emerald and baccarat crystal Buddha are also housed here.

Afterwards, depart for Siem Reap – the base for exploring the fabled temples of Angkor, the ancient capital of the Khmer empire.

Check in the hotel and rest. Free to explore the city at night. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 3

SIEM REAP - ANGKOR WAT

Have breakfast at the hotel. We will start this day by exploring the temples of UNESCO listed Angkor National Park, the World Heritage site and it’s the World Largest Religious Monument.

  • Visit Angkor Wat which was built between 1113-1150 AD and dedicated to Vishnu, the Hindu god of preservation. It’s the best preserved of all the temples.

Have lunch at the restaurant and take a short break.

  • In the afternoon, explore Angkor Thom complex. Our visit will begin with the South Gate, a beautiful introduction to Angkor Thom with well-restored statues of Asuras (demons) and gods lining the bridge.
  • Inside the complex, we will visit the Bayon Temple with 200 endless smiling faces. This temple mountain is situated in the center of Angkor Thom City where the Bayon is set apart from many other Angkor monuments
  • Then we will continue to the Elephant Terrace, which owes its name to its outstanding depiction of these animals and the Terrace of Leper King, which presents a magnificent sculpture, popularly known as the leper king.
  • Conclude the tour with Ta Prohm Temple, get enchanted with the sight of the ruins taken over by tree roots, a demonstration of the awesome power of nature. Learn how the controversial site was left by French archaeologists to the destructive power of the jungle. 

Return to your hotel after the tour. Free time to explore Siem Reap: Siem Reap Night Market, experience the traditional foot massage (shopping at personal expense). Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 4

SIEM REAP - HA NOI ARRIVAL

Have breakfast at the hotel. Visit one of the largest of the floating villages located on the Tonle Sap Lake

  • Travel by boat to visit home to Khmer and ethnic Vietnamese and Cham communities, let your guide explain how life revolved around the lake, how life continues to this day and what threats the communities and their dwellings face. 
  • Visit the floating crocodile and fish farm (depending on current water levels) and then onto the famous Queen Tara in the heart of the floating village for lunch and a couple of free drinks.
  • Look out for the local bird life. The reserve is home to a bird sanctuary and attracts a rich array of birds, from painted stork to a large colony of spot billed pelicans.

Afterwards, transfer to the Siem Reap airport for your flight to Ha Noi, Vietnam.

Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, our driver and guide will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel for check-in.

Have dinner at the hotel and free time to explore Ha Noi city on your own way.

Day 5

HA NOI CITY TOUR

Have breakfast at the hotel. Start the tour on to visit:

  • Ho Chi Minh complex, including Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum – the final resting place of Vietnamese great father or Uncle Ho (outside only, closed on Monday & Friday).
  • One Pillar Pagoda – a group of structures consisting of a pagoda and a tower built in the middle of a square lake.
  • Visit ancient Tran Quoc Pagoda located on the shores of West Lake
  • Temple of Literature – the first university in Vietnam and the place dedicated to Confucian. 

Afternoon, start to visit Ha Noi famous destinations: 

  • Hoa Lo Prison which was once known as “Ha Noi Hilton”. 
  • Hoan Kiem Lake (Restored Sword Lake) with Ngoc Son Temple
  • Taking a cyclo tour through the Old Quarter, also known as the 36 streets, this bustling area of narrow streets is home to literally thousands of small businesses and shopkeepers. It’s a great place to explore with plenty of photo opportunities.

Free time leisure for the evening. Overnight in Ha Noi.

Day 6

HA NOI ANCIENT VILLAGES

Have breakfast at hotel. Depart for Duong Lam ancient village, about 60 km from Ha Noi center.

  • Stop to visit Son Dong sculpture village – a village specializing in producing and supplying wooden statues for most temples and pagodas in Northern Vietnam.
  • Arrives at Duong Lam. You will visit Mong Phu temple, ancient houses in the village and enjoy local specialties (rice wine, rice cakes).
  • Visit famous historical relics such as Tham Hoa Giang Van Minh temple, King Ngo Quyen temple and King Phung Hung.
  • Visit Milk Well – also known as Chuong Sa magic milk well. The water in the well never dries up. The water is clear all year round and has a cool, sweet taste. 

Afterwards, back to Ha Noi. On the way, you will visit:

  • Tay Phuong Pagoda was built in the 17th century. This pagoda has the typical architecture of ancient pagodas in the North, famous for its 18 Arhat statues. 
  • Van Phuc Silk Village – the cradle of premium silk weaving in Vietnam. Listen to an introduction to the silk production process and visit Van Phuc silk market.

Back to your hotel. Free dinner and explore Ha Noi at night. Overnight in Ha Noi.

Day 7

NINH BINH

Have breakfast at the hotel. Our private guide and driver will pick you up and transfer to Ninh Binh, the capital of Vietnam in the 10th and 11th centuries.

  • On arrival, spend one hour visiting the Dinh temples of the Ancient Capital Hoa Lu which are dedicated to King Dinh and King Le, the founders of the ancient capital during the 10th century.
  • Board a small sampan to visit Tam Coc which literally means “Three Caves”. With majestic limestone cliffs and mysterious yet inviting caves, as well as countryside sights like peaceful streams, rice paddies and deserted green fields, Tam Coc really has it all.
  • Continue to Hang Mua, where you will wallow in a wonderful landscape of mountains, valley and river. Climbing up hundreds of steps to lead to a temple on top of a hill, the spectacular views from Hang Mua over Tam Coc and Ninh Binh’s stunning countryside are well worth the effort.

Return to Ha Noi, free at leisure for the evening. Overnight in Ha Noi.

Day 8

HA NOI - DA NANG

Have breakfast and check out the hotel. Transfer to Noi Bai International Airport and depart to Da Nang city. 

Upon arrival at Da Nang International Airport. After collecting your baggage, exit the airport to meet a local guide outside.

From the airport, you will be privately transferred to Hoi An town. Check in at the hotel and rest.

Free night to explore Hoi An on your way.

Day 9

HOI AN (DA NANG)

Have breakfast at the hotel. Start your day by:

  • Discover the rural life of Tra Que Vegetable Village and Cam Thanh Village, two typical villages where you can explore the local lives: one side is vegetable farming, and the other side is water activities.
  • Stroll around the old town and visit Hoi An ancient town famous location: Japanese covered bridge, Quan Cong Temple, Cantonese Assembly Hall, Tan Ky Old House, etc.

Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 10

DA NANG

Have breakfast and check out at the hotel. Then transfer to Da Nang city, start your trip visiting:

  • My Son Sanctuary, a complex of ancient Hindu temples that date back to the Champa Kingdom. The site is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site and showcases the rich cultural and architectural heritage of Vietnam.
  • Linh Ung Bai But Pagoda, a majestic Buddhist temple located on Son Tra Peninsula. 
  • The Marble Mountain. You can climb up the stairs or take an elevator to reach the top, where you can see panoramic views of the city and the sea. 

Back to the hotel and rest. Explore Da Nang city at night on your way.

Overnight in Danang.

Day 11

DA NANG - HUE

Have breakfast and check out at the hotel. Then, depart to Hue city, the former imperial capital of Vietnam and another UNESCO World Heritage Site.

  • Visit The Imperial City of Hue. You can explore the historical and cultural relics that reflect the glory and decline of Vietnam’s last feudal dynasty.
  • Thien Mu Pagoda – the oldest and most famous Buddhist temple in Hue.
  • Visit Khai Dinh’s Tomb, a royal tomb that belongs to the 12th emperor of the Nguyen Dynasty. The tomb is a unique blend of Vietnamese and European architecture, with elaborate decorations and sculptures.
  • Thuy Xuan incense-making village is known as the largest incense-making village known for hundreds of years in Hue.
  • Enjoy the Hue Folk Show on the Perfume River. You can watch the show on a dragon boat that cruises along the river and admire the illuminated bridges and monuments along the way.

Day 12

HUE - HOME

Have breakfast and check out at the hotel.
