Luang Prabang was honored as a “hidden paradise” by American magazines

The Time magazine called Luang Prabang a ‘hidden paradise‘ and proposed it as one of the 50 most wonderful places in the world in 2023.

The city is the ancient capital of Laos and is famous for its many Buddhist temples and monasteries. Recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage in 1995 for its irresistible beauty, this gem of Laos has completely transformed – in less than two decades – from one of the most underrated cities in Southeast Asia to a fascinating destination on the region’s trail of tourists around the world. Luang Prabang’s appeal has existed for centuries and is still very beautiful for tourists looking for peace, unlike the noisy and bustling world out there.

Tourists enjoy quiet and soothing atmosphere at the Buddhist central of Laos.

Turquoise waterfalls, Buddhist temples, and sunset boat trips on the Mekong are just a few of Luang Prabang’s highlights. Additionally, tourists can visit the Center for Ethnology and Traditional Arts, a museum devoted to the country’s 50 ethnic groups and 160 ethnic subgroups, as well as the wildlife conservation center Free the Bears, home to more than a hundred moon and sun bears rescued from poaching. Let’s explore this wonderful place with Lua Viet!
