Da Nang Named Among World’s Top 10 Foodie Cities by Michelin Guide
Da Nang, a vibrant coastal city in central Vietnam, has earned a prestigious spot on the Michelin Guide’s list of the world’s top 10 most exciting foodie destinations for 2025. This recognition solidifies Da Nang’s growing reputation as a culinary hotspot, attracting food lovers from around the globe.
With its unique cuisine, Da Nang is named in Michelin Guide’s top 10 foodie cities.
“The city’s food scene, spotlighted by The Michelin Guide since last June, blends fresh seafood, regional specialties, and traditional Vietnamese flavors,” the renowned French guide noted.
Among the must-try dishes in Da Nang, the Michelin Guide specifically recommends mi quang (Quang-style noodles) and bun cha ca (fish cake noodle soup).
Mi quang, a regional specialty, features a flavorful combination of flat rice noodles and yellow egg noodles served in a rich meat broth. The dish is then artfully garnished with a medley of crispy vegetables and fresh herbs, including banana blossoms, lettuce, cilantro, scallions, and Vietnamese coriander.

Bun cha ca, another local favorite, offers a comforting and flavorful experience with its tomato- and pumpkin-based broth complemented by fresh fish cakes. Diners can choose traditional fish cakes or opt for variations with slices of mackerel or tuna.

The Michelin Guide also recommends several iconic dining spots in Da Nang, such as Nen Danang and Madame Lan. These restaurants offer a wide array of local cuisine, often served in charming settings, such as courtyards adorned with colorful lanterns.
This recognition from the Michelin Guide further elevates Da Nang’s culinary status. The city already boasts one Michelin-starred restaurant, La Maison 1888, located in a luxury resort on the Son Tra Peninsula. In addition, 16 restaurants in Da Nang have been recognized with the Michelin Guide’s Bib Gourmand designation, which celebrates eateries offering excellent food at affordable prices.
