Lua Viet Tours attended The Press Conference of the 2nd “Cho Lon Food Story” in 2024 with the theme “Noodles and Bread Delicacies”

The 2nd “Cho Lon Food Story” culinary festival in 2024, themed “Delicious Noodles and Bread,” is set to take place from December 6th to 8th at the District 5 Culture Center, promising to bring a delightful culinary experience for diners.

On October 24th, Lua Viet Tours attended in a press conference held by the People’s Committee of District 5 to announce information about the 2nd “Cho Lon Food Story” in 2024 with the theme “Noodles and Bread Delicacies.” The festival is expected to take place from December 6th to 8th, at the District 5 Cultural Center.

Head of Economic Department of District 5 Tran Minh Sang informed about the “Cho Lon Food Story 2024”.

As the theme “Noodles and Bread Delicacies” suggests, this year’s culinary festival will showcase the quintessence of traditional Vietnamese-Chinese cuisine, especially dishes related to noodles and bread. The dishes will be served by typical and famous restaurants and eateries in District 5 and neighboring districts.

Following the success of the first “Cho Lon Food Story” in 2023, this year’s event is expected to increase the number of food stalls from 35 to 50 stalls to meet the needs of diners. In addition, the stalls will be carefully selected according to the criteria of the organizing committee to ensure the best experience for diners.

Coming to the event, diners will not only experience and enjoy many typical dishes in Chinese style (noodles, bread, rice noodles, dumplings, etc.), but also have the opportunity to directly experience the preparation of dishes through interesting cooking workshops.

According to the Head of Economic Department of District 5 Tran Minh Sang, the “Cho Lon Food Story” is an annual event dedicated to preserving and promoting the traditional cultural and culinary heritage of the Vietnamese-Chinese community. The festival aims to position District 5 as a top culinary destination in Ho Chi Minh City and contribute to the economic and social development of both the district and the city.

The festival also features a diverse range of activities, such as: Award ceremony of the “District 5 Delicious Food” contest, special cultural and artistic performances, talkshows on culinary culture, interesting exchange games, along with a space to enjoy cuisine and explore the Cho Lon cultural exhibition.
