Embark on an epic trek to Ta Chi Nhu, Vietnam’s 7th-highest peak at 2,979m, dubbed the 'Roof of Yen Bai.' Day 1
HA NOI - NAM NGHIEP - TA CHI NHU - TRAM TAU
The night before:
17:00 The guide and driver will pick you up at your Hotel in Ha Noi Center.
01:00 Car departs for Ngoc Chien (Son La province).
Check in homestay and rest.
Route: Hanoi – National Highway 32 – Nghia Lo – Tu Le – Ngoc Chien.
06:00 Wake up. Pack your luggage. Have breakfast at homestay.
07:00 Gets on the bus and travels to the trekking point of Nam Nghiep village, about 18km from Ngoc Chien commune.
08:00 Arrive at the trekking point, you send your belongings to the porter.
You can see Son Tra trees blooming with white flowers in Nam Nghiep villages.
08:30 The group starts conquering the first slopes. The first section to the hut is 4km. This section will have about 1.5km of hill road, few trees, quite steep and slippery if it rains. After this section, you will enter the primary forest with many ancient trees and wild tea along the way.
12:00 Have lunch, rest, then continue the journey.
16:00 Reach the peak of Ta Chi Nhu. The group stops to check-in.
15:00 Arrive at the campsite at an altitude of 2600m, guests rest after the first day’s journey.
18:00 Enjoy dinner, then spend the night in a wooden hut with a windproof, blanket and insulation layer to keep warm. In case the hut is full, it will be replaced by a tent.
Day 2
TA CHI NHU PEAK - HA NOI
02 Options:
Option 1: Ta Chi Nhu Peak – Sunrise on the top of Ta Chi Nhu
04:00 Wake up early to watch the beautiful sunrise at the campsite. Then have breakfast and continue trekking to the top (about 3 hours).
07:00 Reach the peak of Ta Chi Nhu. Check in together at the top of the mountain and take souvenir photos.
Then return to the hut by the old way.
Option 2: Relax at hut
06:00 Personal hygiene, have breakfast, then relax with tea, enjoy breakfast, sip a cup of coffee or ginger tea.
08:00 Return to the campsite, pack up and start going down the mountain.
12:00 Have lunch.
15:30 Pack up and go back down, get on the bus and back to Homestay.
16:30 Arrive at Homestay, collect your things, and soak in a hot tub to recover.
17:30 Last dinner party with hot pot and some Northwest wine.
Then, Get on the bus back to Hanoi, and officially end the Ta Chi Nhu mountain trekking tour.
01:00 Arrive in Hanoi at around 01:30. End tour.
