CONQUER THE SOUTHERNMOST POINT OF VIETNAM

Our guide and driver will pick you up at the Tan Son Nhat International airport (SGN) and transfer you to your hotel in Ho Chi Minh city center. Then check in the hotel and rest.

Have dinner at a local restaurant with Ho Chi Minh specialties.

After dinner, free time to stroll and explore Ho Chi Minh city.

Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.

Pick up at your hotel and transfer to Cai Be boat station in Vinh Long city (about 10:00 AM). Greet and welcome you for embarking the boat.

Arrive in Cai Be, start the Mekong boat trip from there. Discover the village, house on stilts. 

• Continue cruising and visit a local workshop, where you can see things such as the coconut candy production process, pop rice, rice wine, snake wine, and more.  
• Enjoy free samples of local delicacies and learn about the daily activities of the local Mekong people, especially: 

• Experience rowing a sampan (with the locals) along a small canal on Tan Phong Islet. Explore deeper into the countryside through smaller canals and enjoy the peaceful time under the shade of mangrove trees. Stop at a local garden to savor some fresh fruits with hot tea while listening to the traditional music.
• Start the biking trip on village paths to see the local daily life: orchard, school, church, pagoda, traditional houses… On the way, we can make some stops to see how they wave the dried water-hyacinth to make many products: baskets, bags, hats, wallets, shoes, etc. 

11:30 Back to our boat to go across one of the longest rivers in the world, Mekong River, to come to An Binh Island. 

Travel along the handmade canal to Ut Trinh home.  Enjoy an optional lunch at this traditional house.

13:30 After lunch, you can walk in the local village to explore the daily life of Mekong delta locals.

Breakfast and check out the hotel.

Transfer to to the boat wharf, board a boat to visit the best of Can Tho:

• The Cai Rang floating market, the largest and most vibrant wholesale floating market in the Mekong Delta. Enjoy one-of-a-kind local cuisine, and fresh tropical fruits. Get a closer look at life on a boat and witness the colorful and lively scenes of trading and bargaining (the meals on boat are excluded).

• The local noodle factory (family business) to see how to make rice noodles in the traditional way demonstrated step by step. 

Then, transfer to Ca Mau.

Have lunch en route.

• Visit Monivongsa Bopharam Pagoda – a Khmer pagoda, renowned for its

unique structure.

Check in hotel and rest. Have dinner. Free time to explore Ca Mau at night.

Overnight in Ca Mau.

Have breakfast. Then, ready to explore the southernmost point of Vietnam.

Depart for Ca Mau Cape National Park. 

Have lunch en route. Continue the journey to:

• Learn about the characteristic mangrove forest ecosystem with many rare plants and animals that UNESCO has recognized as a World Biosphere Reserve.
• Take photos with outstanding architecture: National Coordinate Marker GPS 0001, the end point of Ho Chi Minh Road, Mother Statue, Flagpole,etc.

Return to Ca Mau city.

• Visit Ca Mau bird garden, famous for being the habitat of many rare birds and also an attractive entertainment area with many scenes such as flower gardens, monuments, stilt houses and Uncle Ho’s fish pond… 

Have dinner. Free time to explore Ca Mau at night.

Overnight in Ca Mau.

Breakfast and check out at the hotel. Pick you up at your hotel and then head to U Minh Ha National Park. Here, visitors can experience:

• Floating on “vo lai” (local boat) to explore the typical wetland ecosystem with a variety of flora and fauna.
• Sitting on a boat to get deep into the forest for fishing (personal expenses).
• Standing on the forest observation deck, admire the endless forest and vast waterways.

Have lunch at a restaurant. Enjoy U Minh Ha specialties. Then, move to Bac Lieu city. In the afternoon, start visiting:

• Visit Bac Lieu Prince House – one of the richest and most flamboyant man (owner) in Southern Vietnam in the past. Listening to his tales through various stories.
• Visit Cao Van Lau Memorial Park, a well-known artist and famous for his contribution to the develop the Southern traditional styled folk songs – “Đờn ca tài tử Nam Bộ”, is greatly appreciated by many young generations.

Overnight in Bac Lieu.
