Take on a memorable journey through the south of Vietnam, where you will experience the history, culture, and nature of this diverse region. Explore the Cu Chi Tunnels, the impressive underground network that was used by the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War. Next, cruise along the Mekong Delta and glide on the water along the zigzag-shaped rivers, immersing yourself in the lush scenery. Day 1
HCMC
You will be picked up at your hotel and taken on a sightseeing tour of some historical and cultural landmarks in the city.
- Visit the Reunification Palace (Independence Palace), where the President of South Vietnam lived and worked until the war ended in 1975.
Have lunch. After lunch and a short rest, we continue the city tour by discovering the eastern side of the city.
- Visit the War Remnants Museum, a one-of-a-kind museum in Vietnam that systematically studies, collects, preserves, and displays exhibits on the war crimes and their consequences inflicted on the Vietnamese people by foreign invaders.
- See some French colonial buildings, such as the Saigon Notre-Dame Cathedral and the Saigon Central Post Office (outside only), which showcase the architectural heritage of the city. This most famous and oldest of classical French colonial architecture construction was built more than 100 years ago.
- Visit Ben Thanh Market – an old symbol of Saigon from past to present. This is a long-standing and quite ancient market built in 1870. You are free to shop for specialties, souvenirs with Vietnamese characteristics.
Have dinner. Freely explore HCMC at night at your own pace. Overnight in HCMC.
OPTIONAL: Admire Saigon at night on the cruise and have a buffet dinner. (personal expense)
Pick up and move to the boat wharf, and check in for the cruise.
- Enjoy a night cruise on the Saigon River and a buffet dinner on the 3rd floor Indochina Junk.
- Relax on the upper deck and admire the city lights, or join the main deck for some live traditional music and dance performances.
- You can choose from a variety of dishes, including traditional, BBQ, and European food, for your buffet dinner. You can also treat yourself to a delicious dessert to end this memorable evening on the water. You will return to the dock after the cruise.

Day 2
HCMC - TAY NINH - CU CHI TUNNELS
Have breakfast and depart from HCM city to Cao Dai Temple in Tay Ninh – a province 95 km South East of HCMC, close to Cambodia border.
- One of the most striking temples in Southeast Asia, the Cao Dai Great Holy See Temple has a unique architectural style that reflects the blended religious traditions of Caodaism, which combine elements of Buddhism, Christianity, and Confucianism.
Have lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch, we will leave Tay Ninh and arrive at Cu Chi Tunnels to gain a deeper understanding of the war’s tactics and learn about the resilience of Vietnamese people. Explore your excursion by watching a documentary film about one of the most sophisticated man-made tunnels together with its extraordinary wartime legends and:
- Walking in the jungle and visiting the tunnel’s trap doors, underground quarters, secret entrances, bunkers, and underground hideouts.
- Crawling into the tunnels and enjoying the extraordinary and fantastic feeling. See sleeping quarters, meeting rooms, and hospitals underground.
- Visit huge bomb craters left from the war and the underground kitchen: Hoang Cam Stove.
- Relaxing with shooting real guns at the rifle range of Cu Chi Tunnels (personal expense).
- Taking a rest, having tapioca – the main food served during the wartime.
Arriving back at hotel in HCM city. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 3
HCMC - CAN THO - CAI BE
7:30-8:00 Have breakfast. Then, you will be picked up at your hotel and transfer to Can Tho. Ready to the cruise tour explore Mekong Delta:
11:30 Boarding of the cruise vessel and check-in.
12:00 Panorama cruise and lunch on board around 13:00
16:00 Guided walk to a a rural village or through the lush greens of orchards and rice paddies.
17:30 Return to the boat for refreshment and to enjoy the sunset on the top deck.
19:00 Dinner on board, night on board.
Day 4
CAI BE - CAN THO
7:00 Morning cruise and morning tea break served on board.
8:00 Excursion on rowing sampan to explore small canals, enjoy “Đờn ca tài tử” (Folk Music) and visit home- made handicrafts family on Tan Phong islet. Bicycle ride on back roads or walk in a small village along the Mekong Canal.
12:00 Panorama cruise and lunch on board.
16:00 Afternoon walk to a rural village.
19:00 Dinner on board, night on board.
Day 5
CAN THO - HCMC
7:00 Morning cruise and morning tea break served on board.
8:00 Check-out of cabin, excursion on a long sampan to Cai Rang floating market.
11:00 Departure to Saigon. Lunch en route.
16:30 Arrival in Saigon.
End trip.
