HANOI
We will pick you up at your hotel and drive to the historic Ba Dinh complex.
First, visit Ba Dinh Square, where former President Ho Chi Minh read Vietnam’s Declaration of Independence on September 2, 1945.
Explore Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and the One-Pillar Pagoda, a must-see monument in Ha Noi. This ancient Buddhist pagoda, supported by only one pillar and resembling a lotus blossom, was built in the early 11th century during the reign of King Ly Thai Tong.
Next, we will visit Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam (Temple of Literature), the first imperial school in Vietnam, established in 1070 during the Ly Dynasty.
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant, offering a taste of Vietnamese cuisine.
Afterward, we will explore the Women’s Museum (closed on Mondays and Fridays), recognized among Asia’s top 25 museums. This museum honors Vietnamese women throughout history, showcasing exhibits on themes like “Women and Ethnicity,” “Women and the National Struggle,” and “Women’s Cultural Traits Expressed Through Handicrafts.”
Finally, we will take a cyclo (pedicab) ride around the “36 meandering streets” of Ha Noi historic Old Quarter, visiting Tran Quoc Pagoda and Quan Thanh Temple along the way.
